I didn't have that either at first. I'm not sure what I did but I remember disabling background data and auto sync, soft resetting, etc. and just playing around until something showed up. It eventually did and I was quick to disable it....I really wish it was more concrete...Either way, WHEN it does show up, disable sync contacts under the tmobile...
Ugh!
Reset the phone, disabled T-mobile sync, power-cycled the phone, it's still not recognizing that I have any friends on Facebook when I go CONTACTS>ONLINE DIRECTORIES>FACEBOOK>MENU<REFRESH
Does it have anything to do with this damn "com.htc.bg" error that happens every few minutes?
I read on android forums that: 1) the com.htc.bg error only happens when trying to sync facebook contacts (not the other way around, I don't think), unless it's happening on its own (without any involvement of yours, which could in fact be a problem 2) there are some problems with trying to sync large numbers of contacts at once but I don't know how manyis "too large"....
Try disabling background data and auto sync once again, soft reset the device, and then go back to accounts&sync to ensure things are the way you left them, THEN go to refresh facebook....
What is the status of getting the facebook for mytouch going? I think this MIGHT be a problem but most likely (as I've read), it's just a bug with the background data.
